[The feed clicks on to reveal Light Yagami in his room, staring in disbelief in the mirror at his now significantly younger self. His eyes continually flick back and forth between his reflection and his much smaller hands; his glare-- one that is extremely out of place on his eight year old face-- is piercing enough that it seems he could ( Read more... )

I don't think it's really the agency that she's messing with but it's how we make the most of it that matters. She's just making sure she's having fun for herself. If we didn't have agency this wouldn't be fun.

Personally, I think it's interesting. I can do things like this that I couldn't as an adult. The upside, my body isn't craving getting fucked every day. You know how annoying masturbation gets?

[Sheldon's tossing a knife at a table and picks it up repeatedly, leaving gouges on the table top.]

[Light sighs, looking quite possibly like the world's most serious child. Even as an adult, sexual tension wasn't something he'd ever given thought to in light of more pressing matters, namely establishing his rule over the entire human populace, and he certainly wasn't going to start now.]

Enjoy the reprieve, Sands. I personally liked being my age. But think about it. Reverting us back to children not once, but twice? Could be interpreted as symbolism. She might have started going to writing class and decided to incorporate some actual literary technique in her writing. Then again, I'll admit I may be looking for more reasons to hate the stupid girl. I won't lie about that.

Yeah, I didn't have the chance the first time. I missed that one.

[He snaps his fingers.]

Darn. Anyway, you may be on to something there but I don't see any immediate results, if I was a moron. Or another side of the coin, she could be figuring out our backgrounds. How glaringly obvious is by turning us into kids. Can't hide culture there, right?

Consider yourself fortunate. We didn't even have the benefit of keeping our mental age back then. [Light is still peeved at how much of a fool he had made out of himself.]

Whatever her latest plan is, I'm certain it spells out nothing pleasant which is why, we ought to do something to get her attention. Force her to communicate with more of us. That's what went wrong last time, I think. L never did plan as far ahead as... well, I do.

Where L failed was that he didn't think about the other inhabitants and thought of only his own goal which was highly short sighted and very one sided at best. Sure he had Mello's support but that doesn't count for much. What good is a system to work if you don't have the support of the majority? There wasn't any majority. Hopefully no one here will make that mistake...again.

Definitely not. [A cocky smirk appears. It's the sort that had L seen, would have instantly raised Light's percentage. Not that that mattered anymore.] I'll be here to make sure it doesn't. Will you be helping, or watching from the shadows?

I'll probably be involved this time. Considering the last time, well, the last time it was so one-sided it was pathetic.

The more people involved the better. As long as it doesn't devolve into complete chaos that is.

I'll stomp on toes if it gets out of hand. I want this resolved too.

As do I. [He lowers his voice slightly.]

I'm interested in keeping an eye on the... well, I'll go ahead and call them the justice seekers, here as well. I don't trust any of them. I want to know what they plan on changing.

Justice is overrated when there's no laws or foundation. My brand of Justice isn't the same as a lot of people's so it's really a matter of what'll work and what won't.

And what is your sense of justice, Sands?

That's personal. How about this; I'm just looking to create a better world.

[Light smirks slightly upon hearing this.]

Heh. You'd need the power of the Gods on your side to accomplish that alone.

So it would seem. Maybe I'm already a god but you just don't know it yet.

[Sheldon gives a smirk that depicts arrogance.]

The gods walk amongst us. It's a common theme across several religions. [He shrugs looking decidedly less interested in the subject than he really is. Then he offers a half smile.] You wouldn't keep that from me, would you?
