*Heiji opened the door to his bedroom and took two steps in before realizing something was seriously wrong. His room was never clean, for one, and even with that fact there was a lot of stuff missing from his desk and walls

[Hakuba was taking another prowl of the halls narrowing down what MIGHT be B's room before he sent out the call to arms - he was a little more frayed and worn looking, his hair a little messier, than Heiji would've ever seen him, and was practically stalking like a hunting dog - ]
Heiji turned, still looking rather freaked, and the simple fact that Hakuba is a familiar face was the only thing that kept his auto response from kicking in when he saw him. During the few seconds he took to recover from his surprise, he registered the details about the other detective's appearance, wondering once more what was going on here*
I'd say th' same, but I'm not entirely sure why I'm seein' ya. *honest admission, his concern clear on his face*
And now, for thirty seconds with literal bunnies!im_in_ur_exitJanuary 30 2011, 09:48:08 UTC
[You know, he's doing this more because he figures Heiji can keep up than to be an ass - but he'd be lying if there wasn't a small amount of "nerves are frazzled so he's a bit of an ass" in there. Less than usual at least! He's gesturing as he speaks and it's not that hard to guess he's frazzled
( ... )
*there's a few seconds of silence as Heiji processes this information, cataloging it in his brain by order of importance. He holds up his hand in a 'hold that thought' gesture, and disappears back into his 'room'. He grabs his hat, glad that it wasn't one of the things that were missing, and put it on as he returned to Hakuba, facing it forward*
Tell me where ya need me t' be and I'm there. *Sure, they had their differences before, and he wasn't usually one to follow orders, but he wasn't an idiot. Hakuba knew more about this case than he did and he'd be damned if he screwed something up because of pride.*
But when this murderer is caught, yer gonna have to explain that first bit t'me in greater detail.
[Considering The Doctor's room is on the other side of the hall no one really knows what he's doing over here- but no one really ever knows what he's doing exactly- but he's got a shower rod in hand and moving quickly through the hall.]
I haven't seen you here yet- you must be new. Are you new?
[He pulls out the sonic screw driver and pans it over the teen quickly]
Well- that depends- see I'm not exactly sure where it is exactly- but I can tell you that you're trapped inside a story book- it sounds ridiculous- I'm sure- but it'll all become apparent eventually.
The one controlling-or writing the story is a teenage girl- or probably a teenage girl.
This[he hold the screw driver up] this is a sonic screwdriver-and far better than the original-I'd say. And, I'm holding a shower rod because I'm about to use it.
Inside a storybook........written by a teenage girl...talking to somebody that thinks THAT is a screwdriver- I can't believe this. I must've fallen and hit my head or somethin'...
[Conan is... in full blown detective mode- moving down the hall and looking up to keep an eye on the ducts- it should be far too hot for B to use the ventilation- but maybe he was that desperate.
That bastard had killed Haibara. He was not getting away with that. As it happened- Shinichi did not notice Hattori as he was far too busy focusing on the 'hunt.']
*Heiji had already talked to Hakuba by this point, and was sitting on his 'bed' trying to come to grips with the fact that he was no longer at home. Sure, it was easy to focus on this case when it was right in front of him, but he had a little downtime before everything was set to happen.
Luckily, a distraction just so happened to slink past his open door*
*stands up and moves over to the door so he can see him, visibly relieved to see Kudo here. Hakuba was one thing, but Kudo was his best friend, and one of the people he trusted more than anyone else*
He said you were here, but I didn't realize... *he cuts off before he can show how shaken up he really is by this sudden upheaval of his life*

[Then he spotted Heiji.]
[And broke out into a wide, pointy, grin.]
