To those who are interested in at least hindering the murderer, I recommend boarding up the ventilation systems in all areas of the manor. This cannot be accomplished by only a few people alone in any short period of time, so any help is appreciated. If you have the time, please board up the ones in your private rooms as extra precaution ( Read more... )

You believe the assailant is traveling through the ventilation?

[It's not entirely unbelievable, they were big enough.]

How much is being kept from us? I'm sure there's a lot going on under the surface, but unless people start talking things may become out of hand.

Yes I do. The way this house is set up, the vents are large enough to a person to crawl through. Even if that is not the case, it doesn't hurt to take precautions.

What is it that you want to know then?

No, I understand. Prevention is the best defense.

Anything like the killer's behaviours, habits so I can keep an eye out.

[Even if he normally tried to avoid the law and order, (he was a pirate after all), but he'd been a judge. An upholder of the law, someone people could turn to for help -- or at least that was the myth the empire created.]

Thanks for understanding.

The killer is obviously extremely methodical. No doubt he has already planned out everything from the very start, who the victims are, where they will be killed, how they will be killed, etc. Of course you heard about traveling in groups. That's obviously the safest route to go, especially when entering public places, since that's where the killer's most likely to strike. Blocking off the ventilation system will hinder him too.

Unfortunately, none of these methods can actually catch him.

There's been research on what drug he's been using, and I had thought about coming up with something to counteract it, but I don't think it's possible anymore. The only thing I can think of now is just to have everyone at least be alert and on the look out for him, have everyone patrolling in groups or something, I don't know. But you've seen how willing some people are to get along, how willing some of them are to even care about any of this.

Turn the heating up.

Yes, that's one way to go about it, but I don't think the residents here would respond well. You've seen how whiny some of them can be even when people do not bother them.

[The sound of a hammer hitting rythmically against wood is heard along with his response.]

Thanks for the suggestion.

[There's a certain paranoia laced in his tone considering that he was already dead once and he certainly didn't want to go through that again.]

Anyway, I've got a brace put up so it's going to be a little hard for him to get through. How do you know so much about this guy?

Thanks for helping Tom. I was starting to think we really were incompetent. [And by "we," of course she means herself.]

We have actually met at the manor once. Care to guess how he magically got inside my locked room?

The vents. I'm putting up brackets right now. I still need the heat but dammit, he's not getting in here when I have a case of cuffs that he could use against me, you know. Not to mention the pepper spray and my baton. I don't want him using my things on someone else that could damage our reputation.

You know, it's funny.

[The sound of the hammering stopped and the sound of the tool being placed on something wood and hollow sounding.]

Now that I think about it, it's strange. Have you ever had a nightmare so strong that you can't shake it no matter how many sleeping pills you try to take to make it go away?

[He's referring to his death in the Manor.]

They never work.

[And she's referring to her impending death post-Manor.]

What's on your mind?
