First of all, he's a fictional character. Let's be clear that I understand the difference between fact and fiction. HE'S NOT REAL, Y'ALL. That's what makes him interesting: he exists in a realm different than my ordinary life.

I agree though, I want to see more cohesiveness between them, and an emotional connection made, because I do love them when things are clicking. But you know there is something to be said for Damon nearly staking Stefan in the morning, and Stefan calling Damon for help in the evening and Damon saying "I'll take care of it," meaning he was off to sacrifice himself for The Cause.
Louisiana has a few more claims to fame than Mr. Smolderhalder. But he may be their finest export, fo sho. :D

Whenever I doubt the bond between Damon and Stefan, all I have to do is remember "Let the Right One In" and Damon's face in the doorway at Pearl's house.
