This is...so unbelieveably late that it's not even funny. And probably won't even be finished today, to add to my great and compounding shame.

Title taken from a song from the Trusty Bell ~ Chopin's Dream OST.

---

At all given probability, there was only about a %7.4765 chance that he was doing it on purpose. No, make that %6.2584. In any event, the likelihood of him reciprocating was at about %0.1073, and while Souji could calculate numbers at the speed of light even he didn't think that he'd be able to predict the trajectory of an angry fist fast enough to dodge.

So he bit his lip, and waited. Tried not to stare, futilely, as his best friend hiked his T-shirt up around his neck and gyrated hips at him in a peculiar and frankly quite obscene manner.

"Yo, Souji, check it out."

I'm trying not to, thanks. Your hip is approximately 12.3 centimetres from my face. That's about 7.7 centimetres too close, give or take a few millimetres. Also, you're losing weight, again. I swear to God that if your jeans slide any lower down that ( ... )

AHHHH I'm smiling so wide that it hurts, anon! Your writing is a joy to read. :D (And I admit I kind of lol'd at the Hokkaido-bruise. Sorry Yosuke!)

Thinking-in-mathematical-terms!Souji is awesome, and your voice and writing style is excellent, filler!anon~ ♥ Thank you so much for filling for this prompt!

Most favorite parts are:
- "[...] while Souji could calculate numbers at the speed of light even he didn't think that he'd be able to predict the trajectory of an angry fist fast enough to dodge."
- "Q, quite frankly, could go fuck itself."
- And all the italics in Yosuke's second dialogue, LOL.

Hope you can find the time and inspiration to write the next part(s)! Thanks again! xD

Y-You think so? I'm terrified that everything that I write is exactly the same, actually. Distinctive writing voice be damned, I wish that I could write angst! ;__;

Also, I totally got the mathnerd!Souji concept from The Prisoner's Dilemma on page 3, so THANK THAT OTHER ANON, NOT ME. :D?

More of this forthcoming, hopefully. Maybe.

"Ouch," he said out loud, sympathetically. And then tried to lean discreetly in trajectory with the air flow of the floor fan, so that he could breathe deeply of something that for once wasn't vetiver. "How did you do that?Outside, the cicadas were humming, and a little plastic inflatable pool was slowly being filled with water, the unsatisfactory speed at which that was occurring the reason why they were sitting there, in the 30.3C of the Dojima's living room, discussing a surface hemmorage that may or may not have been considered a national tribute ( ... )

This fill is wonderful :)

I don't even mind that the internet screwed you over and posted it 3 times because I am happy to read it thrice! I love your pining Souji and distractable Yosuke and am so looking forward to reading more.

LOL I am so embarrassd about this posting fail that it's not even funny. I was so scared of losing everything that I had commentboxed that I didn't bother hitting the "back" button on the page. >___>;; And my Internet kept being all like, "Haha! You're not connected :D" until the instant that it actually was. THE WHOLE TIME, APPARENTLY.

Anyway, I'm sure that no one actually cares. I'll, er, go back to working on this, now.

Just the mention of 35C makes me dread summer. I don't know why I can't live in a place that doesn't have two extreme seasons. Damn you, Canada.

Anyway, I am loving this, because mathematical pining Souji makes me smile.

"And - " Yosuke frowned, perplexity disproportionate to the actual issue at hand. "And...I don't know. Some other guys. Tsuchiya, maybe, this other dude from 3-3. God, I hate those class 3 douchebags. Somehow they got all the jocks, this year, and they totally creamed us at Sports Day. I'm the fastest runner in the school, though - " He beamed, suddenly, and Souji felt his chest constrict with an odd assortment of anxiety, possessiveness, and pride; " - so that asshole Takano totally tripped me at the beginning of the relay line." He shrugged, and rolled his shoulders in a dismissive, lithe-looking line. "Oh, and Daisuke was there. The other day, I mean. He didn't play, though. Just stood on the sidelines and heckled us about soccer being the true national sport of Japan, like a freaking ass ( ... )
