This is...so unbelieveably late that it's not even funny. And probably won't even be finished today, to add to my great and compounding shame.

Title taken from a song from the Trusty Bell ~ Chopin's Dream OST.

At all given probability, there was only about a %7.4765 chance that he was doing it on purpose. No, make that %6.2584. In any event, the likelihood of him reciprocating was at about %0.1073, and while Souji could calculate numbers at the speed of light even he didn't think that he'd be able to predict the trajectory of an angry fist fast enough to dodge.

So he bit his lip, and waited. Tried not to stare, futilely, as his best friend hiked his T-shirt up around his neck and gyrated hips at him in a peculiar and frankly quite obscene manner.

"Yo, Souji, check it out."

I'm trying not to, thanks. Your hip is approximately 12.3 centimetres from my face. That's about 7.7 centimetres too close, give or take a few millimetres. Also, you're losing weight, again. I swear to God that if your jeans slide any lower down that ( ... )

"I knew it! You were totally spacing out! Tch, you're an ass." So saying, the brunet jerked his face away with an irritated, but also obviously somewhat dejected frown, one that made Souji feel...well, like an ass, honestly.

"Sorry," he muttered ashamedly, drawing his knees up to his chest in defense, "I was..." Thinking about something else seemed insulting and grossly inadequate, on the whole, whereas thinking about being molested by you, brutally, and enjoying every second of it seemed like much more information than either of them had the desire to know. "I was...tired," he said at last, feeling like a shithead for lying but unable to further stomach the sight of that injured, achingly forlorn stare. "I didn't sleep much, on the train. I think all this heat must be making me drowsy."

"Oh." Like the sun that parted the clouds after a day of rain, Yosuke smiled, sympathetically. "Oh, right. Well, hey, I think the pool's done. You wanna take a dip, maybe, cool your brain; or do you just wanna lie down somewhere, for a while?"

For clarification, it just makes him feel like punching a CERTAIN puppy. One named Daisuke Nagase, LOL. Because I know that when I'm jealous, I totally take it out on small, cute, undeserving animals.

Also, haha, at the speed with which I update, I'm afraid, all of your F5-ing will probably be in vain. :P

Oh god, this is just so adorable (um...well I wanted to find a better word than that but I'm really tired right now so that will have to do) and please don't worry about double-posting (or triple posting :p) at least your chapters are going in the right place, i had one where I posted chapter 8 and it ended up (somehow, don't ask) as a reply to the original prompt. Yeah. interesting that!

Anyway, anon, I hope you update soon so I can selfishly keep fueling this huge grin I have on my face right now (hmmm, that didn't sound right at all. Like I said - my excuse is that I'm tired. I'm sticking to it!)

"Uh...you're staring," said Yosuke, in what had to be the most awkward of observations ever.

Just like that, the chasm yawned open before them. Just like that, Souji found himself confronted with the endless expanse of black abyss, with no exit and no other way available for him. His mind whirled like a turbine and yet produced no acceptable excuse. It was almost as though his body were rejecting the very need for one, laughably. Metaphorical vertigo was about to send him tumbling over the edge, on the verge of saying something unrepeatable in polite company and impossible to take back.

He grabbed a branch.

"Only because you're ugly," he said.

Which, as a comeback, was neither intelligent nor even particularly accurate (Yosuke bristled, angrily, in a manner that was undeniably cute), but it would have to do. He sauntered towards the door, smiling challengingly now that his face no longer felt frozen in place. "As ugly as your Aunt Kotoko, I'd wager, at the rate that you're going," he added, to further push the subject shift home, ( ... )

This mathematical mindworking Souji's got combined with the perfect amount of boyishness and teenage awkward hormones would send me to the La La Land tonight with a nice dream, I think. XDDDD Thank you so much~

Waiting impatiently for your next update~!

An average liquid depth of less than .025 metres explained the reason why his spine jolted, uncomfortably, when he went crashing onto the pool bottom, but the collision of ankles and elbows and abdomens was the explanation for the jolt that went shooting through Souji's heart. He shot a foot out, reflexively, squirming against the unexpected cold and wet, and felt it connect with something solid; a suprisingly hefty amount of kilograms of resistance (not so skinny as he'd thought), and then that leg was twisted, almost to the point of painful, and pinned down tightly against his other one. A heavy weight settled triumphantly over his groin, and he froze, and then there were hands, gripping his shoulders, hauling his head out of the water for air ( ... )
