I hope that by now, you've recovered well. My girlfriend got a blood clot three weeks ago, a week after surgery, so all of this is relatable and I can only guess at how the staff treating you made it worse.

I think you're referring to a peak flow meter?

That is terrible! It's scary when people in that position get jaded about their work. You are responsible for people's health, how can you be so blase about it? This stuff is important!

Distressing. :(

Also, I totally want to see a picture of those scrambled eggs.

I'm afraid to ask if those pancakes were edible, if the eggs were like clay! (At least, I HOPE those were pancakes.)

Those eggs are gnarly. I would not want to eat those.... Just seeing this pic is making my stomach queasy.

I believe my son has exactly these socks... but in toddler-size. ;-)

Your horror story is goose-bumps-raising. Good on your main doctor for putting an end to this madness (although you still had to wait long for the discharge). It's so weird, usually they're all hot and thirsty for your blood and giving you injections everywhere, and then this... I still can't believe how you fell under the radar completely. On the plus side... it will only get better from here on!

Right? Usually you can't rest because evry few hours you're being stuck with a needle.

I had to remind a staff member for food deliveries at one point, my meals weren't set up because they thought I had been discharged when I hadn't been.

I consulted with some friends in the medical field, nursing and billing, and they both advised me stronger not to leave on my own. The concern being my insurance deciding not to cover any treatment or further treatment if I'm going against doctor's orders. Weird form of kidnapping.

That is disgusting treatment! Seriously, I cannot even begin to form coherent angryrage words.

On a giggle note : I love that you called them stop sneaking socks.
