This is why I don't go to McDonald's anymore. They take too long preparing your order.

I wasn't aware they prepared anything at mcDonald's. I thought they had it laying around.

I mean, my double cheeseburgers always taste that way.

27 minutes??? Please tell me you have your reciept and will be calling cooperate, that's nuts. After 10 minutes (if I were in a good mood) I'd get out and make everyone behind me back up so I could leave lol.

Insannnity.

Already done. I actually did flip into reverse and try to signal to everyone but yeah, it was massive fail all over.

I have a relative who, whenever they ask if she'll pull forward and wait, says, "Oh that's okay, I'll just stay right here." It makes them go faster.

Not that I am condoning a place like McDonalds...

*rolls eyes* Sounds like your relative is kind of...stupid.

Because generally the reason they ask you to pull forward is because it's cooking.

I mean, if you want half cooked meat or half cooked chicken...by ALL means...we'll go faster.

Believe it or not, the reason they make you pull forward is not actually because they want to take their sweet time making your food.

The idea that it makes them go faster. All in your head. Or your risking food poisoning. One or the other.

Yeah, and because it wasn't ready, people who work there (like you, I'd assume) want you off the timer because then they don't get in trouble for it.

HA! Actually you are wrong on both counts.

1...I do not work at McDonald's.

2. I do work at a quasi fast food chain and when we push you forward, we don't clock you off the timer. We just push you forward so other people can get out behind you so we don't have an entire line of irate people because we ran out of chicken which takes 6 minutes to cook and everyone else wants burgers or ice cream/sundaes/etc which take a 1:30 to make.

It has fuck all to do with cheating the timer. *eye roll*

Though my store is built in a certain way so I can run stuff out to the customers behind and bring them their food and our drive thru is such that they can pull away at their leisure.

Gross, why would you eat at McDonald's anyway? It isn't like they have good food. Bleh.

The baby wanted french fries. Trust me, it's not a normal occurrence for me. But these days if I have a craving I go get it.

Yeah... that's why I keep a bag of those in the freezer to pop in the oven. Less likely to kill me that way. I guess I'm like the only pregnant woman in the world who doesn't get the cravings that I have to have right that instant?

I've lost 45 pounds due to Hyperemesis Gravidarum. If I have a craving, I go get it. You throw up for 31 weeks and see if you feel any different.

Holy god. 27 minutes! What in the holy hell? I can't think of any legitimate reason that it would take 27 minutes. Even if they had the biggest order in all the history of big orders!

Heck, I can't even think of a stupid reason it would take 27 minutes outside of the idea that everyone in the store went on a smoke break or something. Just said "Fuck it" and walked away.

And I really wish people would stop telling people that's what they should expect at McDonald's because McDonald's is ewww...gross.

No, that's not what you're supposed to expect. Your supposed to expect under three minutes. (Well, I'm not sure on that, I don't work at McD's.) And you should get it in that time frame.

Ugh, seriously. This was bad service. Bitching at the OP for going to McDonalds in the first place is neither here nor there.

They're bitching because if your pregnant you really shouldn't be eating fast food even if it's a damn craving.

You're, not your. And in another comment, the OP said "the baby wanted French fries." Why assume the food was all for her?
