This was pretty WTF to me, since I go to Subway all the time and have never had this problem (not even the previous times I was at this particular Subway

when i used to go to subway and ask for olives on my sub i'd seriously only get about three of them, they aren't supposed to use a lot! but it depends on the person making it, one time i asked about it at a new subway that i had stopped in while traveling and she said she didn't put many on because SHE didn't like olives
I thought the rule was, if the customer asks for extra, they get extra. Otherwise they get only 3 olives (and I also thought it was 6 olives for a foot long, 3 for a 6").
ha ha, with jalapenos I keep saying, "a little more please... even more... no, lots and lots..." and so on until I get what I want (which is also handfuls, I'm like you and love them). I won't move down the line until I have enough extras. I guess that explains why the manager always glares at me.
Whaaat? I don't think UK Subways have that rule about _olives_, but if most people are expected to ask for "everything" and I don't, I'd surely be allowed more olives, right? *_* How do you count that?? And three olives isn't even a reasonable max number, WTH.
That's strange, because I've been to that particular one a couple of times and they gave me plenty. Maybe they just started enforcing it. Or maybe this employee is just really hardcore about the rules. Idk.
They might've had an inspector there, or that particular employee might've gotten yelled at recently.
I used to work at Subway, and yeah, unfortunately that is the rule. I usually just ignored it and gave 'em as much as they wanted (on the grounds that it's an idiotic rule), but when an inspector was there we had to follow the rules as much as possible, or we'd be marked out of compliance. Of course, when they asked for extra, we'd give them extra, but our district manager always encouraged us to then immediately ask them what sauces they wanted, in order to direct their attention away from the olives. =/
When I made my own sandwich at the end of my shift, I piled that shit on. (As well as for other customers' sandwiches when the bosses weren't looking.) Fuck the rules, it's my damn sandwich and olives are tasty.

It sucks, I know, I know, but it is the store's policy.

More of a policy suck than an employee suck, IMO.
