I was at a gaming convention this weekend, working for my store. My manager reserved a room for my co-worker and I to share, so we didn't have to drive in and out of town every day ( Read more... )

Ack, can you imagine if your male co-worker had gone to the room first and the woman was there in the bathroom or something? That would not have been good, to say the least.

Which is the reason I always put the deadbolt or the chain latch (i know it's not always a chain but i forget what they are called) when I'm in a hotel room. People think I'm crazy but I'm terrified of this happening and some crazy guy just walking in and murdering me.

Same. My boyfriend also does this. I don't think it's crazy at all. I think it's smart.

My ex-husband's name is Jeffrey, and he once had a protracted phone arguement with a stupid customer service rep who refused to believe it wasn't spelled "Jeffery". He even tried telling her just to type in "Jeff", but that didn't fly either.

It's your OWN NAME. Where do these idiots get off thinking they know better?

Actually, that would have bothered me way less than walking to a dark room, that looked empty, but had someone's stuff on the bed. i thought I was going crazy.

That is SO sketchy. If you weren't a better person, you could have walked off with her stuff. And vice versa. Not cool. O.o

This is why I always hide anything I don't want disappearing. Obviously about 5 minutes of searching would turn it up but it's better than nothing :-/
