What the...?

In the words of Warren Farrell:
"In the past quarter century, we exposed biases against other races and called it racism, and we exposed biases against women and called it sexism. Biases against men we call humor."

"Biases against women we call a pay gap, the cultural expectation that they'd like to be raped but don't enjoy sex, and the expectation that they will now work forty hours a week but still keep a spotless home.

Biases against men we call the implication that they may not be intrinsically better at everything than their peers."

Fixed that for him.

Misandry doesn't exist. It's constantly used as a copout by MRA's.

Please show me somewhere in history where men have been oppressed. Really. I'm all eyes/ears.

I wasn't pointing out any irony or hypocrisy. I was pointing out how quickly the word "misandry" caused trolls to pop out of the woodwork. Your posts are no better than the post you claim to be insulted by.

I don't think it's the same as the tits thing at all. Roleplayers who do that are typically the "fuck your plot, I'm horny" type. These characters don't seem like the player is trying to get off or like the player actually thinks men are like that; they just seem like the player is inexperienced at playing men, or playing adults. If someone was playing a character like this I'd help them learn how to be more effective, not just dismiss them. But I guess kicking the stupid girls out is easier, huh?

It's not from the same place, no. What I meant was more so that this is sort of a favorable stereotype on an animal, nurturing level just as the tits thing is a favorable stereotype on an animal, reproductive level. That's all that was meant by it.

Now, playing as someone who acts like a small child and expecting to be taken seriously and refusing to acknowledge that said person acts like a small child and therefore will not be taken seriously, especially on upwards of eight different occasions, makes it seem as though my reaction is a little more sound. Of course, if all we ever did was say, "Oh, you poor thing!" and try to help the "stupid girls" and other associated stupids, this community probably wouldn't exist.

It still sounds more like inexperienced roleplayers than women who actually dislike men though. Never attribute to malice what can be easily explained by stupidity.

The "men = incompetent babies (whom women must take care of, natch)" meme is annoyingly common. Not sure if this is quite the same thing, though.

It's pretty much every "family based" TV sitcom ever.

Yeah, there's a reason I don't watch TV anymore. :/

I haven't given up on TV for that reason. Just sitcoms.
