Ah, so that's the deal with Worgen Death Knights. I'd been wondering about that.

Worgen DKs are from Silverpine. The NPC you off behind the chapel talks about how you broke free of Arugal's control.

My little worgen hunter is so embarassed to be caught on all fours, and thinks it's extremely unladylike to be caught outside of combat wearing her fur.

I haven't really played my worgen much in an RP sense (and he's only level 18 anyway, been enjoying my goblin mostly), but boy oh boy. I hope that all the sniffing and doggy puppy crap that I, too, have seen is just a bunch of people trolling. But people have been doing that on druids ever since launch, some somehow I doubt it :(

And I'll never understand how people will complain about the origins of the worgen DK (even now, with a somewhat, if not scant explanation) and then be totally all for people playing every kind of troll BUT Darkspear. i don't even know if I've come across someone RPing a Darkspear troll in the last 4years.

There are some other implications too:

You are not, cannot be a worgen half-breed. Worgen is an all or nothing shot. Wether or not the curse is passed on to your children, the curse is part-mystical. It's an on-off switch. You can only have the effects of worgen/not worgen. Even ithout getting into genetics of mystic curses, and Gregor Mendel, it's still not possible, in lore, to have people with only bits of the curse. Cos a human with a bit of the curse is a worgen. Like everyone else. *sigh*

Thankfully, I have yet to see a half-worgen.

But, it's Moon Guard, so I'm sure a few will turn up at some point, and we'll get things like, "He has a wolf tail, wolf ears and sharp teeth: He is half worgen."

Yeah, I don't play WOW, but the first thought I had when I heard about this character race was "for a large segment of the players of this game, it just became World of Yiffing."
