Umm, did they specifically say it was the timezone thing? Because with the "sentient" comment and the Canadian presence, it sounds more like they don't like Americans.
Someone fails logic. Frankly, I RP more in the morning than at night. Gotta pass the time at work. Seems to me asking "what times (GMT) would you be available to play?" would solve that issue, instead of sounding like a jerk.
Apparently it does. A friend of mine saw this, and she's GMT+1. She said that she was asked to withdraw her application in a roleplay because of it, since they were mainly GMT -5. My own timezone is now an embarrassment as well.

Just to watch the staff rage.

They deserve it, especially after the "have they stopped being mobile" comment.

The first roleplay I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole.
That would be amazingly epic though. xD;; They would deserve it.

The roleplay advertisement specifically said 'No Americans, because we already have enough people in those timezones and we'd like more varied ones'.

I didn't think that I'd see this kind of discrimination in rp, but.. WOW.
I am speechless. That is just wrong on so many levels...

That and discriminating because of time zone is stupid anyway.
