But if you're all apping from the same canon in the same game, isn't it best if the headcanons are written to match up?

Not necessarily; the game allows for different head!canons to fill in the blanks if need be, and my character's background was mostly left as a blank slate so I could collaborate with any new muns that rolled in.

Also, notice my entry was written out of annoyance that they tried to pass it off as their creation and didn't ask, rather than the fact that they used the same background.

Yeah, I definitely agree with that part. Though on an app, there's not really a spot to say 'I got this idea from luarwhirl'. I dunno; I understand the annoyance, I really do, I'm just trying to find a positive spin, or something.
