Dear you,
I was really happy when you apped a character I've been wanting as a cast mate for ages. You were excited, you seemed really nice, and you also copied the background a friend and I came up with to fill in the empty bits of a canon character's history. Yeah, no. It's flattering that you liked it, but neither I nor my friend don't appreciate the fact that you shamelessly took most of it, word for word, to use in your own application. Furthermore, passive-aggressively "hinting" (read: guilt-tripping) that you would like to keep it instead of taking the time to come up with something yourself is not cool. I told you that my friend and I weren't comfortable with you using it, given the circumstances, but that I would be happy to write a new "fill in the plot holes" background with you. After thanking me, you never messaged me again or took me up on my offer, and then proceeded to idle out of the RP.
The sad part? If you had asked, and not used it in your own application under the guise of "HAY LOOK WHAT I WROTE", neither of us would have cared. It's a canon character, after all. It's not like we own the character or the franchise s/he's from; what really bothered us, as previously stated, was you passing it off as something you came up with - in the exact same game, without even PMing me or the old mun first. Bad form, mun. Bad form.
Good riddance.
No love,
Me.
