The title of this post is misleading--the horse obviously panicked and tried to jump out the window. It looks to me like these people are doing what they can to remedy an unfortunate situation. Everyone remains calm and works as a team to utilize the tools available to them to extract the animal. Horses get themselves into these situations no matter how "safe" and modern their equipment and surroundings. It's part and parcel with our attempts to contain these flight animals.
Yeah. Horses try to climb out of windows and grooms' doors all the time and often get stuck like that. In fact, this video is a pretty decent example of how TO get your horse extricated without further injury, short of having a sling and winch available (which might not have helped).
Also, the horse is amazing. Unless they gave her a sedative before the video started, she stayed very calm...if she'd panicked again, she'd probably have broken a leg. As it was, she looked to be barely hurt, if at all, once they got her freed, although I'm assuming they got her checked. The picnic table was a great idea.
That's what I thought too. I was honestly expecting something totally different based off the OP's tags and title, and went over and saw that the horse had climbed halfway out the window. Good on that team of guys for handling the situation.
And bonus kudos for an appropriate use of a picinac table.
