Came across this through the last post. Not sure about the riding since you don't get to see a lot of it. It just made me lol with the little grey charging about setting off the chesnut, chesnut bombs off and horse number three starts bucking in the background.

That's two down... how many more to go? XD

It seems to me that in video #1: grey dumped his rider and then spooked the bay. Then again, the bay seemed to already have been playing up even before the grey came charging.

Video #2: That could have ended badly. Getting your foot stuck in your stirrup is always dangerous. Luckily, whenever I fall, my stirrups are the first thing to fly off xD

I don't even have to fall off for mine to fly, once my horse decided to be a little sh*t about mounting and twisted away from me with one foot in the stirrup, and the leather came right off with my foot still in! Gotta love safety stirrup bars.
I love the 'Peacock' Safety stirrups too, they've saved my ass a dozen times at least.

How on earth do you get your foot stuck in the stirrup? So weird I know it can happen but never really worked out how unless your foot slips straight through?

Sometimes your foot can twist in the stirrup and gets trapped. A stirrup is shaped for your foot up and facing forward, but if the leather twists around and/or your foot turns inside the stirrup its not hard to get stuck, depending on how you fall off.

Most of the cases I've seen have been from kids in too-big boots - their parents get them to "grow into."

omg that second video could have been exponentially more terrifying if the horse had taken off... but I lol'd a bit when he tripped over her and then kinda went "oops sorry didn't see you there"

All my students cry when they fall off. Just once I'd like someone to laugh like I did as a kid! lol.

I laughed my ass off the first time I hit the ground. I still do! The only time I didn't laugh was when I broke my collar bone!

They are! I'm in my mid-teens and the only time I've ever cried from falling was when I landed on my head. The rest of the time I laugh and jump up immediately.
