Chain Reaction...

Came across this through the last post. Not sure about the riding since you don't get to see a lot of it. It just made me lol with the little grey charging about setting off the chesnut, chesnut bombs off and horse number three starts bucking in the background.

That's two down... how many more to go? XD

All my students cry when they fall off. Just once I'd like someone to laugh like I did as a kid! lol.

I laughed my ass off the first time I hit the ground. I still do! The only time I didn't laugh was when I broke my collar bone!

They are! I'm in my mid-teens and the only time I've ever cried from falling was when I landed on my head. The rest of the time I laugh and jump up immediately.

Man if only they cried only from falling. I've seen kids cry when I'm riding a horse and he starts backing out to try and avoid work. I'm like wtf? It's "my" horse that's acting out, why on earth are You crying?

Then there's this girl I ride with on wednesdays sometimes. She is older than me, I would say she's in her mid forty's, she is a better rider than me, but she is afraid of everything. Like the last time i took a tumble, my horse went off bucking and farting for about 10 mins (he's a young, high spirited guy), her horse was absolutely quiet, simply watching the little stallion run around with a wtf look in his face and she was all "oh, I don't like tis, I want to dismount." And she nagged the trainer until she was allowed to dismount a perfectly calm gelding. As for me, I waited until the little stallion stopped, and he did it right in front of me, so i slowly walked over to him, stroked his muzzle and grabbed the reins. And i got back on him, even though I was nervous and in pain.

Goes to show that adults can be wusses too.

Import yourself to my barn. Teach the others to laugh. Tears are contagious and I don't like crying children lol.

I don't think I've ever cried when I fell off a horse, even when I cracked all my ribs. That hurt like hell!
