Udderly... Bad_Riding?

Now, I'm sure most people are amazed that a cow is jumping. I know cows are different than horses, but to me, a bunch of things just don't look right here. Why is her leg a mile behind her? Why do they awkwardly trot up to a jump, that I wouldn't usually trot over on a horse, and then just awkwardly flop over onto the other side and halt? Cow or ( Read more... )

I think she's awesome.

Agreed--We used to have several dairy cows. Well, I should say several dairy cows owned us. I think I spent half my life trying to heard them in from the field to be milked.

And bull riding? Say what you want about the ethics of that sport, but their goal is to stay on for 8 whole seconds...Nothing as lofty as steering or jumping a fence.

I too thought it was pretty awesome. It just didn't look right to me, but I guess it's just because it's a cow. :D

Its a cow, perfection is not to be expected.

Cows are aloof and generally do whatever the hell they want, so the fact that this girl can ride one and make the thing jump, that is pretty damn awesome.

Are you serious? It's a cow for christ's sake. Let's put you on one and check out your position!

I think it's pretty adorable!

Hey! You could tell I was unsure in my OP, right? No need to be rude, I don't have experience working with or riding cows. All I know is that they're definately very awkward compared to a horse.

I'm willing to bet that her comment was meant in friendly jest, not in an attempt to be rude ;)

Ah, because it's a cow? That is why it looks odd. Cows are really not the most agile creatures, nor are they nice movers. They do tend to kind of just lump along. And as for the jumping? I think it's pretty impressive and the cow probably stops afterwards because it's lazy. It's kind of hard to get cows to be enthusiastic over doing something like that.

Now that I think about it, I think I saw a cow ridden at the Equine Affaire one year. The guy got him to canter for a stride or two, and that was it. xD

So my bad, my judgement was off. What if we pretend he's a horse? ^w^

My parents' cow used to sneak out of her pasture then gallop down the hill and jump back in. Udder swinging and all. That cow was weird.
