re: the last photo - except you can see blood covering the left hind hoof of the horse. Makes me think there's a leg injury there (we all know how badly those bleed).

Most racehorses ARE that hard to handle lol. And they wrapped the chain. So in my mind, that's fine.

A racehorse will toss you around like a rag doll. A wrapped chain is the least of my worries. ;-)

Oh I know! We got mares off the track sometimes (for breeding) and fresh off the track they were NUTS. So yeah, f- that. We use chains. Those horses are so fit and "Up" they don't care who they take down haha.
