And then trying to go back in...

Mine? Can I have several?

-"Adventures" where we just set out from the barn and wandered about the nearby farms were always fun. We stayed out of crops and rode mainly on the tractor paths, but we met a lot of pretty cool people and no one ever minded us riding on their property as long as we stayed off the fields when they were planted and stayed away during deer season. The humans often got lost, but my old boy had some kind of built in homing beacon and always knew the way home no matter how far we went.

-Just wandering around the farm bareback on my old boy with just a halter and lead on him.

-Trail riding with my boyfriend.

Well, more recently would be my most amazing ride yet. We switched The Tuna from a bitted bridle to a bitless bridle. I really got him through and connected in the bitless bridle and my trainer made the other two clients come and watch us because they were/are having a hard time giving up the bit. I just felt so awesome because it was after a LOOOONG hiatus for both me and Tunafish, but we just clicked for the first time in such a long time and it was all bitless. Booyah.

But my long time ago "makes me smile" moment came when I had a lesson on my old red eventing mutt. We worked our butts off and it was so nice outside and we were working so well that my trainer decided to have us go outside and play around in the field. It was just like the movies. ya know. Sun was shining, wind was blowing. Just galloping around outside.
