LOL -I'm the exact opposite -with all our animals, the once a year we go on vacation for a few days, I'm like "YES!!!! I get to ride horses, and not have to feed, and water, and tack, and untack, waHOO!!!!"

I'm the same way. Hate to leave the animals, especially the cats and horses. No one feeds them right while I'm gone. I trust my farrier she can shoe my horses without me being there and not even tied!She said they only act up when the owners are around because they know they can't get away with anything. But, yeah, I'd want to be there at River's first appt. with a new farrier. Find a headstall yet?
