I went out and played with River this evening, and got some cute pics of him finally. I wanted to get a good documentation of how he looks this winter and then again next year this time. Oh my lord River is hilarious.

I just got him a blanket (keep in mind that he's a mexican horse and this is his first winter) and that was an interesting experience. He was freaked out a little, but let me put it on him without killing me (an improvement, of course). I calmed him down and gave him a treat until he felt as comfortable as he was ( Read more... )

1 year ago my husband, kids, and I packed up and moved from Illinois to the mountains of So Cal. It's been amazing here and I love it so much, but I'm going back on Monday for a week to visit my family. What's weird? I don't want to GO because River's here! I've been spending my mornings with River this week, and we're making amazing progress. Today the husband, Howard, took him out and went balls-to-the-wall with him.
