Kurt's slight form had definitely concerned her, but Leslie was absolutely thrilled to see him. "Oh, you know... The usual... Writing about your fabulous designs, partying like a rockstar." She shook her head slowly. "Actually, no... I haven't had time to party, really."
She took a sip of her own tea, dark eyes turning to look him over. "There've been some... Um... Family issues, I guess, is the best way to put it. But that's another talk for another day. How was London, darling? It's been a while since I've been there."
Kurt really had no intention of touching all the delicate finger food sprawling before him. He was tired, but beyond the ability to sleep and he was up so Blaine could have the comfort of the bed to rest in without Kurt squirming around restlessly when sleep evaded him. He got a couple of hours the night before, but he would catch up on more later. Meanwhile, Blaine was had been out-cold starfishing across the bed preferring Kurt's pillow to his own, the jetlag tying in with the fact he was only just discharged from hospital and recovering enough to keep sleep claiming him for now. "My brother was... killed, and the person who killed him is going to trial," she said, lowering her eyes to her tea. "And I'm testifying for the defense instead of the prosecution." As if that answered everything, she turned to Kurt. "What happened that made you need to go to London so quickly when you were ill?"
Blaine felt his way down the glass staircase that led into the foyer of Kurt's expansive apartment, his cow-slippered feet (not the best match with his Superman pyjamas) not making any noise on the marble tiles as he shuffled along. He was cold and still half-asleep, the curls on his head all unruly and bed-mussed. He yawned, having to pause to cover his mouth when it was one of those that made your face feel like it was turning inside out. His bladder had been what woke him up, but he was thirsty and he didn't want water. A quick trip to the kitchen for some juice before he climbed back into the cosy cocoon of Kurt's luxurious bed was on the menu
