That's absurd to charge for that. I'm sure they'll reverse this policy when their bottom line starts dipping. Let's hope anyway.

This is an outrage! What are they thinking?

...what is Super Tuesday anyway? I've been hearing about it recently but none of the things conveniently include a definition. I assume that it's when the candidates for president get definitively decided?

Nevermind, I looked it up. I probably should have just done that in the first place.

Screw you, United Airlines! You used to be cool.

Thanks for posting this Rodney, now I'll know to avoid UA. However, in the world outside North America you're only allowed one bag of up to something like 25kg, for all airlines. If you happen to be flying to NA you get two bags of 32kg each. I expect that if UA don't see a rapid decrease in volume, the other airlines'll follow suit.

That's exactly my concern - I'm afraid that it will be a "success" for United and that other airlines will follow suit.

I too am outraged!!

...although I rarely need two checked bags when flying. Unless I'm moving for co-op, which I don't do anymore. So I guess I don't really have to avoid UA...

Well, United/AC is still cheaper than anybody else even with the extra 25$, when flying b/w YYZ and SFO.

The main reason I'm concerned is that AC and United offer the only direct flights between YYZ and SEA, meaning that my options have been reduced. I hope that AC doesn't follow suit down the road.
