The Spirit Died

Perhaps. I myself haven't really ventured into Sin City world, and was (more or less) hoping that this would be like the Eisner work I'm familiar with -- drama, humor, parody, yet sometimes dark and disturbing. If Miller had tried not to make it seem (in my eyes) like a Sin City wannabe, then yes, it would've likely been a lot better recieved.

But hey, images stick. Miller's somewhat buried himself in a wole hole the recent seemingly continuous "Let's talk like we're back in the noir days of old with women and booze and gravelly voices" thing. If he'd tried to experiment in another field, then I have a strong feeling The Spirit would've been a lot bettter.

Read The Spirit instead. Your soul might not die as much.

What didn't you like about Sin City, out of curiosity?

I liked Sin City / 300.

WAS looking forward to The Spirit, but I guess it's nothing more than a shattered dream. Now.
