This week is a week if finallys.

Z finally broke a tooth, and has been much happier since then. A few days ago now she woke up in the morning with her face bright green from the tip of her nose to her neckline covered in a wall of gelatinous snot. It was like she'd had a visit from The Toad from the X-Men movie ( Read more... )

Mom is now completely moved out of our house, and is living in her apartment complex. There's a bit of confusion from people about what exactly she's moved into. It's not a "home" and it's not entirely correct to call it an "assisted living facility". It's more like a sort-of-assisted-living-apartment-building-and-community-of-seniors ( Read more... )

Thank you everyone who wrote something. It was an amazing outpouring of support, personal stories and advice. Even those who swore their story was nothing positive… was in a way. Thought of the moment:
I've been sickish the last few days with a clogged nose and a sore throat. You know what I DIDN'T need to clear my sinuses? Projectile vomiting grapefruit juice through them for a half hour straight. I can breathe easy now, but I can smell only stomach acid. Awesome.
