i always thought that nina and eleanor sounded like they would be common names for little girls in like, 1945, so yeah, it is very weird that you would meet two girls named nina and eleanor in 2009. :D

For the longest time, I pronounced Eleanor like E-LEE-NOR. Haha. It wasn't until I heard someone else pronounce it years later that I learned how to pronounce it right.

That's a crazy coincidence.
Yeah, Ann did use some strange names! Nina isn't too unusual, but not very modern either [or what I'd consdier a neat name, so to speak. Heh]. ' Eleanor ' has always reminded me of an old lady's name... At least the girl in ur class has a good nickname for it : ]

"Nina" always makes me think of "Nina Pretty Ballerina" by Abba.

I've known a few people my age (I'm 18, by the way) named Eleanor, but never a Nina. What a weird coincidence! Not long ago, I saw written in cement "Abby and Claudia were here", that was weird.

haha that is weird. anytime i hear the name Claudia i think of the BSC. just because in my opinion, that name and Dawn are the 2 most uncommon of the main girls. so anytime i hear dawn or claudia i think of the babysitters club

I know a couple Eleanors, but they always went by Ellie and hated their first name! I've never known a Nina though.
