Were there any BSC book titles that sounded really intriguing before you read them? Book titles that just drew you in? Did they deliver?

Mysteries #23 Abby and the Secret Society and #29 Stacey and the Fashion Victim always sounded really fascinating to me. I haven't read M29 yet (and it still sounds fascinating!), but M23 was pretty good, iirc.

Before I read it, I thought Kristy and the Secret of Susan was going to be really good. I can't remember if I enjoyed it or not, but I know I kept begging my sister to tell me what the secret was because she wouldn't let me read it until she had finished it.

Yeah, I remember reading the tagline "Even Kristy can't find out all Susan's secrets" and thought it was going to be about a kid who lied a lot. Which would probably have been better than seeing the way Kristy handled Susan's autism.

The title of this one didn't intrigue me as much as the cover. I remember seeing it and thinking "what is so fascinating about this little girl playing the piano and why can't Kristy stop staring at her?"

the truth part made it sound really dramatic but in reality it wasn't really

Abby in Wonderland, but then it had NOTHING to do with wonderland. I was hoping that she would have some crazy Alice-like hallucinatory adventure, but alas.

Agree!! I was wondering what the book could possibly have to do with Wonderland. . . unfortunately, it was more like Awful-land. I guess they didn't want to title it, "Abby Is Very Disillusioned With Life Changes."

We should change All of the BSC book titles to reflect what they are actually about.

What a big chore, and yet what a fun chore. . .

Mary Anne Notices That Logan Has A Personality For Right Now, And Since It Doesn't Involve Sports, It Sucks.

[several books go by]

Mary Anne Notices Cokie Macking On Her Man, Who No Longer Has A Personality, And Thinks She Best Be Makin' Up.

Stacey's Emergency.
Stacey seems to get a lot of dramatic titles.

OMG, I was obsessed with this title. I was thinking she, like, died or something.

Also (and none of these were actually as exciting as I'd hoped):
Jessi and the Awful Secret
Mary Anne and the Memory Garden
Kristy's Worst Idea
Jessi and the Bad Baby Sitter

Those are the ones that come to mind. A lot of Abby's books sounded more interesting than they actually were, too:
Abby in Wonderland
Abby the Bad Sport
Abby's Un-valentine

Yawn.

"Stacey and the Fashion Victim" makes me wonder if Stacey plotted to murder Mallory...
