Were there any BSC book titles that sounded really intriguing before you read them? Book titles that just drew you in? Did they deliver?

Mysteries #23 Abby and the Secret Society and #29 Stacey and the Fashion Victim always sounded really fascinating to me. I haven't read M29 yet (and it still sounds fascinating!), but M23 was pretty good, iirc.

Stacey's Emergency is one of my favorites to this day. I've always loved it.

I think I need to get a copy of that book and re-read it... When I see the cover, I get this feeling that I really, really liked it, that it was maybe even one of my favorites, but I can't remember much about the actual plot at all. I know Stacey gets sick, that's it.

Mary Anne and the Memory Garden always drew me in. I couldn't find it for years, but then I saw it at the used book store. I loved it so much.

Kristy's Worst Idea! I'm pretty sure I got that from a book order at school because it was book #100, and I wanted to see what shit was going to go down, especially after reading the blurb on the back! And of course the club didn't split up, I had a feeling they'd make things work (though I was scared for awhile).

Kristy and the Vampires, which is in the mystery series. . . I was like, "WTF, we have VAMPIRES now??" Sadly, it was just a case of yet another movie being filmed in Stoneybrook. (And, most of the mystery titles are disappointingly intriguing. "Beware Dawn"??? O_O)

Dawn and the School Spirit War. This issue necessitated a war? I read the book and, sadly, it did necessitate a war. A better, but longer, title might have been, Dawn Half-Asses School Spirit Week, And For Some Unknown Reason, This Is A Huge Fucking Deal. (I never did School Spirit Week, and it did not necessitate a war. :-p ( ... )
