...because the BSC books were an absolute staple series of my childhood, alongside Goosebumps, Boxcar Children, & Sweet Valley Twins/Kids around the same time. I had loads and loads of these books, plus the Little Sisters & the movie and stuff. Guess by way of introducing myself to a bunch of fellow Stoneybrookites/BSC fanatics, I should do a bit

My favorite sitters growing up were Stacey and Dawn. I probably loved Dawn because of my love for California (I have family in both northern and southern Cali and we used to visit at least once a year for a long time) and I was always told that I was an "individual" by teachers and so forth. Stacey, well, I was just a boy crazy as she was. Not really up on the fashion though there was this one trendy shop at the Galleria that I LOVED in middle school and I bet Stacey would've too. :)

I know, I've tried to organize em in the past and failed...somehow today I was able to make the tough choices! Yeah, I looove California Girls!! Arrgh, I haven't even made it to California yet (my longest road trip took me as far as Wyoming, lol) but I kinda just know instinctively that whenever I go there for the first time I'm gonna love it. :D
Some of my opinions have shifted over time but I pretty much like the same books/characters now as years ago.
I always thought Dawn's 'bicoastality' was so neat (though sad, too.) =] And oh yes, that was something I was gonna say about Stacey...I was never so boy-crazy or into fashion trends, but I DO ♥ NY and shopping! xD And I usually like the way she dresses.

I also love that you listed your fave Little Sister books. There is a lot of Karen-hate in this community, even though I love her - I never would have gotten into the BSC if it weren't for the Little Sister series!

And your icon!! BSC in the USA rules!! And your name...ha ha, chickens!
Oh, I adored the Little Sisters...I was in a club where they sent me the first four in a nice little box, and I kept collecting them from the stores and the order forms in the back like the other books. ^^
