It has been 2 weeks since we've moved and although the house won't fully be ready till August, we are settling in slowly. However while my parents' house is an extremely comfortable size for Merrill, me and my sister, it will be a little too crowded for comfort once my parents move back to Singapore in a few years and when we have kids of our own. This looks lovely. I'm guessing from the Astrid Hill reference that it's in the Bukit Timah area?

You are very observant! I didn't even notice that myself. But yes it's Bukit Timah area. :)

WOOT! What a beautiful house to settle in!! =) I'm sure your future kids would love having the pool at the doorstep!

I'm crazy about floor plans too!

We absolutely love the idea of having the pool at our doorsteps, especially in Singapore's hot weather. Initially we wanted to build our own house with a small pool but hard to find suitable land in the area we are looking at so we settled for cluster housing. Would be so much easier if we were still in Sydney!

Do you also scrutinize to see how the layout can be improved on? Coz I do that all the time. Lol!

Building would be a lil tricky in SG. We are building a house in Melbourne and it's really quite a painful process. =( But admittedly, it's quite a straightforward process in Oz, cos of the regulations and all.

Yes I do! When I first got plans for my house, I was staring at it like 10 times a day.... =p Obsessive huh?

Glad to know I'm not the only one. Heh! But yeah it's already hard enough doing renovations, I can only imagine how much harder it is to build a house, especially when you can't be there to supervise! I'm sure your house is going to look beautiful when done though. :)
