So we went to get an ultrasound on Friday at my doctor's request - just to make sure everything's ok and normal.  Honestly, I was freaking out about the ultrasound because what if's were flooding my mind.  What if they find something bad?  What if everything wasn't normal?  What if...??!!  It could drive you mad.  This was our first time to the ( Read more... )

yay! i'm so glad to hear that the ultrasound turned out well. it's always such a relief, huh? i got one yesterday and was so excited that i got to see the baby again. =)
how funny, my parents just went to taiwan this week and will be there for a couple weeks. i told them that when they come back, my tummy will be bigger! i'm gaining about a pound/wk now. crazy! but as long as it's helping the baby, i'm all for it.
i'm anemic so i have to take iron pills multiple times a day. but then it gets so confusing b/c i can't take them w/ calcium or the iron won't absorb.
have you tried calcium fortified soy milk? maybe you can try that to stay away from the dairy stuff.

hello! Hmm...calcium fortified soy milk does sound like a good idea. I'll have to try that. Are you showing alot yet? I had to bust out my maternity clothes this week. I have a belly band to wear my pre-pregnancy clothes but now they're getting really really tight around the baby bump area. I need to get more maternity pants!

yeah! try that b/c it also has protein! my friend told me that preg women need 80 - 100 grams of protein a day. i was like "are you crazy?! how's that possible?" obviously i don't get enough. oh, and there's also calcium fortified OJ! yum!
you can definitely tell i'm pregnant now though i'm still considered small. the belly band still comes in handy w/ my old clothes but i can't zip them up at all! everytime i walk by a mirror i have to ck out my belly, haha. i love that it's growing even though it gets in the way sometimes. =) maternity clothes are so much more comfortable! esp the full panel pants that pull up over your belly instead of cutting it off at half your belly. and my belly button is getting shallow... eek!

sorry, this is judy (from xanga).
or... there's always calcium pills. oh! tums have calcium! so that will help w/ acid reflux and calcium. kill 2 birds w/ one stone. my dr actually suggested that to me early on in my pregnancy, but i don't have acid problems.
