creative therapy

Oct 25, 2010 21:29

For the past couple of weeks I've taken some time to scrapbook and it feels good to know that I'm slowly making progress.  I enjoy doing it, knowing my girls will have these photo memories forever, and I like to look through them too.  So after yesterday's scrapbook therapy, I took some pictures of my recent pages.

Pages of memories )

furniture, cookies, kindergarten, pictures, baking, halloween, birthday cakes, scrapbooking

Thanks, on both counts :-) I've been wanting that dining room set for over a year so I'm glad we have it now. And as much as I like scrapbooking, I can go back and look at the pages over and over and over again. Before I hand over the books to my kids, I'll probably copy the pages and make my own book!

Those pages are such a treasure. Your girls will definitely cherish them. (And I'm so lucky my mom scrapbooks! It gives mea few albums to treasure too!)

Yes, I know they don't get very excited about it now, but I know they'll be treasured, especially when I'm long gone.

Thank you for sharing your pages:). I am a scrapbooker as well and I just love seeing other people's creativity come to life and it often sparks some ideas in my head as well. Fall and winter is the time when I do the majority of my scrapbooking. I find it helps me get through the l.o.n.g winter. Your pages look great!!!

Yes, I used to get a lot done in the Fall and Winter. I've committed to at least two days a month of scrapbooking to help get caught up. I really don't like being 4 years behind :-/

Ah, I am crying over here looking at your scrapbook. It's a good thing I am not seeing it in person; I would surely ruin it! It is beautiful Janice, your girls are so lucky to have you as their crafty mom!

Aw, Melissa...you're too sweet :-) Sometimes I look at the shelf of their scrapbooks and think it's excessive, and I really do try to be conversative and practical with *what* I scrapbook, but I just LOVE doing it. I love that I'm capturing those memories for them and that my children and their children will be able to look through these pages together.

And it would be so awesome if you and I could sit and look through them all together. Maybe I'll bring a couple of them when I come to Niagra Falls next year ;-)

Absolutely an outstanding job on the scrapbook pages. You never fail to impress the heck out of me!

Great table! Our new one is quite similar, but we went for the counter height style...

Thanks :-) I love having a slightly bigger table, and enough chairs for more than four or five!
