For the birth junkies, here's an article about a satisfied midwifery client in Saskatchewan. Both of the midwives mentioned in the article were at Abby's birth, and Rosalind was also there for Charlotte's :-)
Someone once told me that we need 10 positive birth stories to counteract 1 negative birth story. Don't you wish more women were telling this story? It makes me so glad to hear this story of love and empowerment, but so lost and sad that this is denied to so many women.
Wow, it's a beautiful story. I'm glad that people all over Canada are starting to realize how beneficial midwifery services are. Are there any Birth Centers projects right now in Saskatchewan?
Last time I wrote a comment on you LJ I didn't know for sure, but I'm now officially a future student midwife (starting in September in the university program here in Quebec)! I can't fully realize it yet, I've been wanting that so much. I'll be looking forward to your debuts as a registered midwife!
In the meantime, good luck with the studying for the CMRE!
