for the picture hungry.....and because I should be doing other things

Yesterday, Charlotte wouldn't nap no matter what I tried.  Finally, at 4 pm,
I put her in the Hotsling again and let her chew and suck on my finger knuckle
until she slept.
[I love the expression of the M&M on my well-loved t-shirt.  This is Charlotte's favorite t-shirt of mine too :-]

I know, the bald spot cracks me up. Her hair is almost long enough to do a comb-over but that would be *wrong*.

Ah, wiggly-baby-diaper-changes. *sighs* Mine's eight months now, and crawls fanatically away, giggling the whole time. :)

I can't wait for that. Actually, I *can* wait. My baby is growing up too fast already! Still, it will be fun when she crawls away giggling.

She never cries in her bath, never.
I'm telling you that girlie is a natural swimmer.

I love that she snoozes under the Abby frame :)

And is that yummy hotsling made of fleece?

I think she was meant to be a waterbirth baby, but I got out of the bathtub a minute before she was born! She loves the water! And I absolutely *love* that she sleeps under Abby's frame too. And all the pictures in that frame are of Abby when she was alive. So many of the pictures we have of her are after she had died :-(

And the hotsling is just the regular chocolate brown cotton, not fleece. Do you have a fleece one? I always thought they would be too warm.

I think Abigael was emant to be a water-birth baby too, but I just *had* to get out to push. Weird huh? And the jets in the jacuzzi kept giving out, (the jacuzzi jets in my honeymoon suite on my wedding night kept giving out too.... I am not lucky).

I don't have a fleece one, but am coveting one for my January baby :) now that the buck's at par, I am wondering whether I should save so $$ and order one fro the US or fork out the cash to support my local babywear shop. Ahhh, I am one crisis of conscience after another ;-)

have I told you lately how much I love her eyes? I also wanted to say, thank you for Abby. You didn't have to share her but you did. From the bottom of my heart, Thank You.

I love her eyes too. I look into her eyes and I believe she's seen heaven, and Abby too of course.

I used to nanny for a family that had a little shelf above the changing table with small toys that we gave the kids to hold during changes. Kept them busy. The toys were only for diaper changes! I will probably do that for my kiddo. I can't believe how grown up Charlotte is, seems like just yesterday she came into the world.

I've got a couple of toys for her to hold onto, but they sometimes get in the way or else I get bonked in the head! And yes, Charlotte is growing much too fast. I tell her everyday that she has to slow down.

I guess there's no perfect solution, is there? :)
