this mountain of laundry has been brought to you today by Regurgitating Gertie

Nothing like warm chunky milk running down my arms, between my breasts, and splashing on to my pants.   Wednesday we went through five outfits each, today we're only on number two so that's not bad, right?  I think I do more trips to the washing machine than trips to the bathroom these days ( Read more... )

breastfeeding, reflux, charlotte, a good day, laundry

I'm glad you at least got the Chocolate. :) It's always good to support cancer research in fact if they hit the spot you can always just repeat as needed.

Many reasons to buy them - my mom is a breast cancer survivor, they're pink, and it's chocolate!!

And if you throw away the wrappers and there is no evidence it becomes fat free!!! :)

Isn't it lucky that sometimes the daytime goodness outweighs the night-time crappiness?

Oh yeah, for sure. If the days were as rough as some of the nights, I'd never recover! Although, today was the first day that it took me a while to warm up to Charlotte after last night. Usually she melts me with her first smile in the morning ;-)

Your journals about cloth diapers have inspired me to make cloth diapers for my new grandbaby. I have shown my DIL some of your stash and she wants to try CD. A few weeks ago you commented on your various diapers and their features. If you could design your own cloth diaper, what features would it have, what's most important?

I guess it depends if you are doing a pocket diaper, fitted diaper, or an all-in-one. I like the fuzzi bunz (pocket & AIO) because even though it's an AIO, it's trim. The microfiber insert comes out of the pocket to make washing and drying quick and easy, and you can add extra stuffing into the pocket for nighttime. It has elastic around the leg openings, PUL on the outside so it's waterproof, soft fleece on the inside (very important because it keeps baby feeling dry even when she's wet ( ... )

Thanks sooo much! I'm going to try making a fleece lined AIO Pocket diaper. The only thing I'm still not sure of is how to do the back pocket opening. Is there elastic on the waterproof layer, fleece layer or both? Hope Charlotte goes down a little easier for you tonight and you get a good rest.

There is elastic on the PUL layer at the back, but not on the fleece. Let me know if you want me to send some detailed pictures or measurements.

Our son had explosive vomiting for the first 16 months of his life. He totally ruined most of my clothes, and his too. One time, he threw up an entire feed right on my upper chest. I actually took my clothes off and placed them in the easy chair as if I were still in them. The vomitty curdled milk covered the sweat shirt and most of the pants. I took a picture because I thought "will I ever really remember how bad it was, and will anyone ever believe me?!" This was 18 years ago before digital, and if I ever come across that picture again, I WILL post it. Amazing. He is 6' and 195lbs now. ( He still has a very sensitive stomach though...)
