footprints on a mother's heart
A while ago, I ordered a pretty silver pendant from Angel Baby Baskets on-line. Kimberly deMontbrun of LaBelle Dame Jewelry designed the necklace to help grieving mothers heal from the loss of their baby by keeping their memory close at heart. The silver pendant has tiny footprints on one side of the heart, and I have Abby's name engraved on the other side. There is also a tiny pearl charm to represent Abby's birthstone (June).
The box chain that came with it was a bit too short so I bought a new sterling silver snake chain and gave the other one to Kim and I bought her a silver cross to put on it. As soon as I picked out a new chain, I put the pendant on it and was wearing it before I even paid for it. I love to feel it there, a constant reminder of my Abby.
