Sigh; free stuff!; sigh again

Before I get all nostalgic & weepy... did any UPN affliates outside of L.A. air tonight's VMars at 1 this morning? I thought Buster 2 was lying, but he changed channels to record "I Am God," and dude, it was really on. Papa Mars has a cute name-drop/shoutout in the cold open. (Man, I was hoping he'd say "Jared" instead.) And OMG, Dick has the best ( Read more... )

free stuff!, vmars, music, sigh

Aww, babe. I was about to email you if you hadn't posted. I had a feeling you needed some cheering up after yesterday. But this is a great way o mark a friendship, through the songs. You really need to do that TO trip.

And hey, don't spoil me for VMARS yet. I haven't watched it. Stupid shitty timeslot. Anything that goes up against 'House' loses out here.

In other news, my roomies lost their 'pretty boy kissing' cherry last night as we finally watched BBM on DVD. I was so missing your presence at the coolers.

Argh, I'm over the inital angst now. I'm at the "Oh, crap, she's really gone" stage, where I'll see something we should do/see, then remember that she moved :(

Heh, once they've taken a trip to BBM, they'll forever look at the world with slash-tinted glasses ;)

Why can you not tell her????!!!!

*hugs* and all that shit ;)

She knows all of that. Plus, if I write it down, it's like I'm admitting that she's really moved. Yeah, I know that's stupid logic, kinda like Brian Kinney logic, but it works ;)

Sorry I haven't e-mailed. How are things with your BF?

I know what you mean about Brian Kinney logic. :)

Are things okay? You said today that you had to take care of some RL stuff.

BF hasn't spoken to me since I layed it all out for her. (chicken shit me...by email) It's okay. I know that she is probably very hurt that I was so brutally honest with her - no one has ever just told her straight up what a bitch she is, etc. I don't expect to hear from her again. I do think about her and at times I have wished that I could call, but in the end, I know that this is for the best. It is time to move on.

Last night's Housewives was awesome with CB and LT! And OMG Justin standing on the curb...I see the similarities now! Gabby just cracks me up, but in the end, it was really sweet watching her do Yoga with the baby.

Take care of yourself. Don't work too hard. Family this week or next?

Dude, Brian Kinney just might be my new Confucious. He is hot wise in ways I can only dream of.

Things have settled down. It was the small stuff, like hearing that grandma went in for an MRI, panicking about doing my taxes (yay, extension!), etc. I tend to do the BK and hide when everything's weighing me down.

I know how you feel. I went through the same thing with my BFFs from high school. I told them that I loved them, but I'd changed & didn't feel that strong of a connection anymore. From what I've heard, they've all stayed in touch, which makes me feel bad. But I felt tied down in a way, so I had to move on & start over again. (Which is why I really miss BF because she just knows when to back off or mother hen me.) Are you facing the same thing I am, the "oh, crap, now I've gotta find a 'new' BF who lives in the area"? ;)

OMG, CB was soooo good last night! She was perfectly bitchy & stuck up. I hope they bring her back. Poor LT was barely in it; I'm pretending that the lawyer remark was an Oz shoutout. And hee! Justin on the ( ... )

Sorry about your friend moving away, sweets. That's rough. This is a great tribute.

Thanks :)

But if I get to visit T-dot, we'll both be there, so double yay!! Now I just have to win the lottery (just a little, not the jackpot) & figure out the dates...

Aw, I'm sorry. But you know, Virginia's not all that bad... ok, I lied. It's not nearly as cool as California. ::hugs you::

* hugs back! *

Hee! Well, she said it's okay so far because they've got a Trader Joe's nearby. Yeah, wait until she has to deal with a toll road. I told her she'll want to move home once the summer swelter begins ;)

It's amazing, how certain songs just call certain people to mind.
Some of my friends have gotten scattered here and there, but at
least we've got phones and computers.

Not the same as being there, but at least you KNOW you'll always
be able to pick up where you left off.
Friends like that are one of life's necessities.
You're lucky to have each other and all those great memories.
Sorry she won't be nearby though.
That's rough. I know. *g*

Heh, so it's okay that "Closer" reminds me of my BFF? ;) I know, taken in context, it's perfectly fine.

So true. When we see each other again, it'll be like nothing's changed. But we're so used to being around each other. She's the only one I trust to see me at my full dorkitude & bitchitude. I lost my drinking buddy/partner in crime! And now she's married, so she's got a permanent drinking buddy. Gah, now I'm getting in that "I want a husband" mood ;)

Your SO as a drinking buddy isn't the same as your BFF drinking buddy!

Trust me; she'll always be your 'person'!
I've got a friend like that; we've known each other literally
forever (4th grade!)- we ended up at the same college--and even though we don't see each other as much, we still have the inside jokes no one else gets, while we're rolling on the floor, helplessly laughing like a pair of hyenas. Or she'll look at me and make some random remark that only we think is hilarious. And we sing horrid songs out loud in the parking lot at the supermarket.

I'm going to call her right now. *g*

I had a few weird moments of "OMG, am I her top BFF or not?" That's to be expected, I hope. But at her going-away/b-day party, we ended up telling all the stories, not the others. (I win!) So now I know it's really the quality of the time spent together, not the quantity. And not just because my mom said so ;) The hardest part is that my other friends aren't as randomly/spontaneously hang-out types :(

Seriously, who else would back up my claim that we ran into a Russian-speaking midget at an adult store?

And yay! I hope you & your BFF get to see each other soon :)
