Actually, its the same for me. I never had a debut (my dad was asking me about it at that time) but I chose not to anyway. I don't regret it AT ALL. I mean, yes... its once in a lifetime thing but if its not something you wanted, then its not a big deal XD

Debuts (sweet sixteens) are very popular in rural America but not in NYC where I was born and raised so I never had the privilege to have an official "debut"~

but if you had the chance to, I say go for it Gem. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! You didn't have one at 18? then have one for your 19th. It's YOUR birthday, anything you say; goes!! at least on your bday that is.

i didn't have my debut either. it was a fckn rainy night, and i was out of my wits, broken up with alvin and going out with someone else. and ended up having more fights on that day in public than ever in my whole life. it was a mess. and yes, i do want a debut. but i don't have money for it. so i guess i'll just earn til i'm 21, cause that's when you are REALLY considered to be an adult, and celebrate it then. maybe you can consider that thought, too, huh?
