Loved it; go and watch it immediately if you haven't already.

I have to say this, because it's rare that this happens and it's really exciting for me: We watched this episode live, as it was aired! :D :D :D In HD, even! (Normally, we record it because we have tea late or we're just busy, but not this week!) \o/

I was pretty sure it was, and then I had a moment of doubt when I was typing up this post. AUGH Mycroft what are you playing at?! (If this is some kind of weird retribution for stealing his ID, I will be Most Displeased - with Mycroft, not the show - but really not surprised.)

Yeah, Mycroft's motives are ... well, really weird this series! We know from S1 that he cares about Sherlock. He says he "worries" about him "constantly", and although John is surprised that this is genuine worry, there's no reason to believe that he isn't genuinely concerned. So ... why set someone who is that level of crazy and clearly going to go after Sherlock free? Then again, I just thought: last episode, he said something about caring being for ordinary people/not for the Holmes brothers? Or something? (I seriously need to re-watch it.) I refuse to believe that he doesn't care about Sherlock, though. Perhaps only about Sherlock, out of all the people in the world, but ... I don't think he'd want bad things to happen to him ( ... )

I thought that about the Mycroft and Moriarty thing too - but then I thought maybe Moriarty let himself be caught, for some convoluted reason, because he knew that he had twisted the circumstances to the point that Mycroft would have to release him? And maybe next week (I know nothing of next weeks episode, I've succesfully avoided all spoilers!) we'll have awkwardshutupevenImakemistakes!Mycroft. Which would be interesting.

Sherlock is incredibly adorable when he's trying to be relatively normal, isn't he? *grins*

Also, was I the only one who found Russell Tovey's accent strange after getting so used to him in Being Human? Or was it not different at all... I found it amusing that he was in this particular story, too ("Sherlock, there's not a hound, it's George, he's a WEREWOLF!")

That makes sense - especially given the villains' tendency to play the heroes. (I feel like I'm ... not writing about Sherlock when I use words like 'villains' and 'heroes'. XD) Moriarty is very good at manipulating people/events ... Hmm. AUGH, can't wait for next week! (I'm unspoiled, too, except for the title/story it's based on.) I would love to see that side of Mycroft come out, I really would.

Aww, yes. He's also really bad at it, but there you go. :D

Yeah, Russell Tovey's accent was strange! I don't think I've ever seen him in anything sounding so ... upper class. Really weird. Haha, I thought that, as well! I love the irony of a guy who's played a werewolf being in a version of Hound of the Baskervilles.

You're welcome! :D

It's the way he's so calm about it. *seriously skeeved out* (My personal favourite bit: "He's put headphones on it [the black animal skull ... thing], good God.")

... Haha, thanks! I find it very weird that I got even mildly close to something that turns out to be canon.
