To the College Students and new transplants from warmer climes

This is the start of Winter. While New England Winters are pretty wimpy compared to Minnesotan Winters, they're still a might bit chilly. I grew up in Michigan and went to college in northern Indiana. As a result I got to see the students from California, Arizona and Florida hit the realization that winter is a hell of a lot colder than it seems

No, not really, its just funnier to laugh at someone wearing a spring jacket in late December if they've been warned not to do it, but did it anyway.

It wasn't meant as humor. I've seen a few kids shivering their rears off in Harvard Square today and I thought I'd make a bit of a PSA for their benefit.

They are all headed home or are home already.

Fortunately for them it's been a mild Winter. Hopefully they'll get some decent Winter gear over the break. Some of the kids I've seen wandering Harvard Square the last few days have been a sorry, shivering sight indeed.
