True Lover's Knots
This can happen only if she forgets a great many things: her husband, her duties, the vows she took and what she owes to herself in keeping them.
Guinevere takes the deceptively light crown off her head. Morgana kisses the point where her neck and shoulder meet, pushing the fragile lace to one side. Gwen arches into the touch and does not think of Arthur's polite attentions, forgets the stray glimpses of her husband's hands fisted in Merlin's dark hair. She traces Morgana's familiar curves.
Arthur never asks the name of her lover.
Gwen never mentions she kissed Merlin first.
