Doesn't seem to make a difference, even when restarting iTunes. Something else I need to do for it to take effect?

I don't really know how to fix it but OMG YES THIS ANNOYS THE BEEPING BEEP OUT OF ME

I organise things how I want them you know.... in folders and stuff... because thats the way computers work! I don't need a program to sort my shit in a different way that I don't want IT IS NOT DOING ME ANY FAVOURS STOP IT.

I for one really really dislike "intelligent" software, more especially when they don't give you the option of a "classic" format

It's like having someone come into your bedroom and 'clean it' by putting everything where THEY think it should go. IT'S MY ROOM AND NOW I DON'T KNOW WHERE ANYTHING IS YOU JERK.

I don't think there's a way to remove them altogether from your library listing without deleting the artist field. But if you want them all together you could set up an 'Album Artist'. The tracks will have their proper artist in the Artist field (and that's what scrobbles on last.fm etc) and be visible that way, but then they are also under the umbrella of the Album Artist ( ... )
