this article makes me think. on SL i am not another person so much as the person i want to be. i look how i feel i should look, i'm still a home body, but i get to fly and meditate and be what i want and do what i want and change what i look like as often as the mood strikes me. i don't play Feather, i am Feather. much more than i am R. of course,

i think the major difference is that so many people live their lives for what other's will think and online it allows you to live according to what you want and that shows as self-confidence.

Dude, that is totally freaking profound. I know there's a major disconnect between cyber-Deirdre and RL-Deirdre. There always has been a discrepancy between how I see myself, how I really am and how I would like to be seen. Being online just gives you an opportunity to play around with, take advantage of, build upon those disconnects.
