Today I hung out with my friend Y. He has been finishing up his mathematics dissertation and is set to defend soon. We have each had a difficult fall and winter and have not been able to hang out for some time. But like the members of the fellowship of the ring, we reunited once again at the end of our perilous journeys, more-or-less intact
