..I hope not. I'm glad I can come on here to write and occasionally (more like rarely) transform my jumbled thoughts into concrete and coherent sentences

as someone who's constantly trying to connect with things and people and events ( and doing it unsuccessfully). It feels wonderful to know that you're finding peace within yourself, which makes me hopeful that one day i can reach the same place of serenity. :) although i must say that reading this filled me with all kinds of warm fuzzy hopeful feelings. Hope you're doing well!

Hi, Mar. This is so good to hear. When discussing personal faith, you just never know how people are going to react. I'm glad that you got where I was coming from.
Of course there is hope for you! It started with simple prayer for me. I just started to speak honestly about concerns, hopes, things I didnt like about myself. It snowballed after that. Though I still dont fully get it, I now realize that Love is the best, even if it means me messing up 100 times, Im still loved. Extending this love to others, esp those that dont deserve it, is challenging, but I like giving what has been given to me. And God can help me change, though sometimes this takes time.
Good to hear from you! I hope all is well back in sunny L.A.
give thanks, it's good for youbeakurSeptember 23 2015, 18:36:20 UTC
ever since i have lost my faith, i have forgotten to reflect and give thanks for what i have or accomplished, etc. recently, i commented on an acquiantance's facebook post where they thanked god for the financial success. i questioned why if got was "so good" why did his god bless only him and not his neighbors; does god play favorites?
my acquaintance reminded me that is is always a good time to praise god and give thanks. although, i don't agree with their concept of god, i appreciated the slap in the face to be thankful for what you have.
