I'm sitting at my desk in my study. It's a small room, but I like its cloistered feel. I was surprised to discover this because when I'd envision being alone in this small room, I'd get nervous and anxious, as if being alone was going to be boring and utterly uncomfortable. as for you feeling like an "average scholar," joder, mano, don't take it lightly. a scholar is still a scholar, there is always someone that is going to be better than you. hard to believe huh? even if it may not be true, it's a good reminder to be humble. and if you want to toot your horn, i'm sure there are worse scholars than you!

Thanks, man. Honestly, being a scholar who does daily work for a few hours at a time--that's what I want. I'm good with simply doing respectable work. I just want to be productive and to train myself to go into scholar-mode every day.
