First and foremost, helloooooo to all of you from the f!s friending meme! I'd apologize in advance for anything I may say or do, but I'm actually not that sorry.
I mean, it's awesome to meet you. Yes.Anyway, as per usual, I'm tired as mess, but I wanted to talk about all kinds of things because I just haven't really used this journal other than

Haha, glad to hear you finished Nothing, Everything and thought Negative Connotations is great. Yeah, NE I finished back in May 2009 and Negative Connotations was written July 2012. When I began writing for FMA my writing style changed quite a bit thanks to my betas. XD

Also, the only thing I know about The Hunger Games books is that, somewhere along the line, Katniss decides that pants are unnecessary and spends an awful lot of time not wearing them. Just so you know, guys who made the film, that would have made me more willing to watch it.

Where exactly did you hear this?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfZpQYC0RXc&feature=g-user-u - this video. It's ponies, so be warned about that if you perhaps don't like it. It's a commentary about a pony fan animation/fan fic reading type thing. (In so far that it parodies the fics instead of just reading them)
The Hunger Games talk comes towards the end of the video at about 9:45, but the rest of the video is rather interesting and even has some complaints about youtube in there if you're so inclined. The guy annotated the book and read out lines from the book, so his points have merit in that sense. I've not read it so I can't say myself it's true, but I trust the guy not to just make this up.

But yeah, I completely forgot he's 100% right about Katniss being naked so often before the Games in the first book. There's a lot of stripping down these 12-18-year-olds to groom/dress them, and a lot of these less-than-legal teenagers are forced to go out on parade for the whole country to see in "costumes" that sometimes just consist of body paint. But then, it's also canon for winners of the games to them be forced into prostitution, so.
I am so down for Rainbow Dash reads 50 Shades of Grey. :D

The only person I know who has it worse has to wake up at 4:45 four days a week for a 6-19am work shift, then has class from 1:15-5:30. His bed-time is generally 8/9pm.
Also I'd definitely recommend Farla's Hunger Games (including the sequels) spork. Just...yeah.

Also, I do not envy your friend. I can to a 6 AM wake-up, but even if I get enough sleep, I would never be able to do 4:45. (I know this from experience, too. Oh, that one fun summer.)
Also, ooh. That's what one of my RL friends said too (to read Farla's work, I mean). When my attention span hasn't been shot to death, I will totally go through and check out Farla's archives. :D

But anyway, soapbox aside... Modern devices are really just tiny browsers, they can support almost everything a desktop browser can. What you really need to think about for mobile is what makes sense for that screen size? (what makes sense for mobile sites is almost always a differently-formatted menu, generally not hover). This gallery shows sites that use the "responsive" approach, which means focusing on screen size rather than specific devices (resize your screen while looking at these ( ... )

(Also sorry about the confusion! Haha, yeah, Kelly's also the name of the person who hosts my domain and the first person I pester relentlessly whenever I break it.)
Anyway, thanks for the advice! I've considered going with WP in the past (especially having heard all about how awesome it is), but I'm also not sure how widely applicable it is. Okay, that might sound like the wrong word, but I'm blanking there. What I mean to say is I know it's a blogging software that could handle, say, chapters of my writing, but I don't know whether or not it could be used for everything else I'd like to do with my site. Like, if I wanted to have an index of art and writing by the people who go to my forums and make it be separate from my own writing (which is something I do with my space now, although I'll admit that's not really much of a popular feature with the aforementioned forum users).
On the other hand, I'm sure I can abuse pages/links, no one says I have to put everything ( ... )
