It was so much fun. (Now if only there were a con in Boston, we could all go to a Red Sox game...)

Man, you even managed to write a beautiful post about the con. But yes to so much of this - it was also my first con in a long, long time (I'd been to 3 or 4, but it had been about a decade since my last con, and they weren't fandom-specific), and I was nervous but excited, and it all went so. well. I just wish I'd had more time to spend with people and been able to stay later. But I'm SO GLAD that I ran into you, even for that brief period of time. J and I said that next year if we have the money (and babysitter), we're going to get a hotel room. :D

I think that was my only complaint about the con: I needed MORE TIME. Although honestly, it was perfect even being only one day. (Longer would have been harder for me to wrangle, schedule-wise.)

I'm glad you got to go to part of it, too - I just wish I'd had more than what, three minutes to talk to you!

Oh, I remember watch-alongs in DW! Both the LJ after-action reports and then I think we watched a few in chat sessions. And yeah - they were fun, but not quite the same as watching in a group, live. It's one of the best things about going to a fannish movie opening weekend - usually it turns into a very fannish watch-along, which is just fun.

The original recipe for the chocolate pie asked for a chocolate cookie-crumb crust, so I think you're gonna be very happy with an Oreo crust. How'd it turn out?

This was so, so, so lovely.

And I've decided to feel proud in some strange way because I remember when you were fretting over Mise and it was like the scene in 1776 when they're fretting over the Declaration and John's like, "Nope, it's a masterpiece," so, like, entire comment = KIND OF I TOLD YOU SO. ;-)

Wait, if you're John Adams in this scenario, who does that make me? Because I'm not sure if I want to be Ben Franklin or Thomas Jefferson.

But yes, you were right, you have ever right to be proud.

(Does that make Mise the baby eagle?)

Mise is the baby eagle. You're Thomas Jefferson.
